I dreamt that my husband and I bought a fixer upper house and in this house we noticed that there were roaches flying roaches crawling around the house. We knew that this house would need to be upgraded, but it is our project to do. We were happy in the dream. Also the same night I had a dream that my mother-in-law meet is at a store and opens her door and I see China, my brother‘s dog that he had a long time ago come to meet us and when my husband saw her, he started crying. This upset my mother-in-law and she was complaining about what are we gonna do with our finances? We both is stressed out. What are we going to do about having a baby and I told her we can’t have a baby right now. I can’t afford IVF. I can’t afford IUI either. I can’t even afford the food on the table. we’re raising our voices at each other cussing at each other out. I also said that my husband can’t even get his private area up. That’s when she stormed off and walked away my husband and I. My husband and I get back into the car and he’s talking to me like normal, but I shut down and tell him I can’t talk to him right now. I don’t know, but the next thing I see is that my mother-in-law, my husband, her husband and myself are wishing my mother in law a happy birthday and gave her a bag with different types of gifts. In the dream she’s anticipating a gift to confirm I’m pregnant. Also, I can see that I am pregnant, but I still wanted her to keep opening the gifts. I wanted her to be surprised. There still were no hints that I was pregnant and in the dream she thinks it’s probably not gonna happen. However, sure enough the last gift that she opens was a baby hat under another baby hat, and then showing her that I am pregnant. everyone was happy.
Dreams can be complex and multi-layered, often reflecting our subconscious worries, desires, and emotions. Here's a detailed interpretation of the various elements in your dream:
House Symbolism: A house in dreams often represents the self or the current state of your life. Buying a fixer-upper suggests a new beginning or a project you've recently undertaken or are considering. It can symbolize the desire for improvement and growth, both personally and in your relationship with your husband.
Flying Roaches: Roaches are often associated with dislike or discomfort. Flying roaches may intensify these feelings, suggesting unforeseen challenges or problems that seem overwhelming. However, the fact that you were happy indicates an optimistic outlook toward those challenges, trusting that you and your husband can overcome them together.
China, the Dog: Dogs often symbolize loyalty and friendship. Seeing China, your brother’s dog from the past, may represent nostalgia or a longing for a simpler, happier time. It might also suggest feelings of comfort and love that are missing in your current life.
Husband Crying: His reaction to seeing China suggests unresolved emotions or grief, perhaps related to past or current stresses.
Financial Stress and IVF Concerns: This part of the dream reflects anxieties around finances and family planning. The argument with your mother-in-law highlights external pressures and the stress these pressures cause on your relationship and personal wellbeing.
Anticipation of Pregnancy: Wishing your mother-in-law a happy birthday and the focus on gifts can symbolize a desire for reconciliation or approval. Her anticipation of a pregnancy announcement reflects either a real or imagined expectation placed on you and your husband.
Hidden Pregnancy Gift: Revealing pregnancy through a gift signifies the hope and joy linked to the idea of starting a family. This could express your own feelings about the prospect of motherhood, suggesting a deep-seated wish despite current circumstances suggesting otherwise.
This dream seems to encapsulate a blend of optimism and anxiety about various facets of your life, particularly regarding family, financial stability, and future plans.
Optimism and Resilience: The happiness seen in purchasing the fixer-upper and eventual joy at the pregnancy announcement highlight your ability to find positivity and hope even amidst challenges.
Anxiety and Stress: The arguments, financial worries, and issues around starting a family capture real-life stresses and fears, possibly pointing to a need for open communication and problem-solving in your waking life.
Relationship Dynamics: The presence and reactions of your husband and mother-in-law reflect interpersonal dynamics and concerns about roles, expectations, and support within your family. It suggests a possible underlying concern about how these relationships influence your decisions and emotional wellbeing.
Your dream is a vivid exploration of dreams and fears interwoven with relational and financial complexities. It suggests a need to balance optimism with practical solutions and open dialogue to address the challenges you face. Embracing change and reconciling with both internal desires and external expectations could be essential steps towards achieving the happiness and stability you seek.
